With the release of new iPhones coming up, Apple will host an even today at the new Head Quarter in Cupertino, California USA. 1.000 people managed to lay hands on a ticket to attend the major event in the so-called Steve Jobs Theatre. At 10 am (PDT), so in 8 hours from now, the first event at the new campus will take place. I am curious what Apple will pull out on stage today. After all, they have a 10 years-anniversary of iPhone to celebrate.
With the announcement of the event in August, it was assumed the new iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and the iPhone 8 would be revealed. Until this weekend, when 9to5Mac gained access to unreleased beta software. The code of the build and leaked iOS 11 made clear that the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be introduced. Assumed is, these devices are enriched with marginal updates of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. But all eyes will be on the iPhone X. The revelation of this new high-end phone is expected to be the biggest change in the iPhone/mobile phone history. This becomes clear in new features such as full-phone, sharper and more colour-full screen, upgraded processor, new dual lens camera, incorporated augmented reality possibilities, wireless charging and unlocking will do by just looking at your iPhone. The characteristic home button will disappear and a stunning new design is expected.
According to Evan Blass, a notorious leakster, pre-orders will be available online on Friday, 15th of September. Expected is the new hardware can be picked up in Apple stores the week after on Friday. And what about the price? Will it be Apple’s most expensive smartphone? There are rumours the price of the iPhone X will be around $1000. We have to wait to find out.
Of course this blog contains rumours, assumptions and speculations. So, after all the events, releases and clarity it would be nice if a student colleague would post a new blog in order to provide readers some continuity concerning the iPhone 8, or should I say iPhone X?
