Since Chatgpt and other AI tools were created, I have been really excited to explore the potential of these generative AI tools. I have tried experimenting a lot with a variety of AI tools like text-to-text, text-to-image, and even text-to-video. These tools made my life easier because they helped me with my daily tasks, like helping me with assignments by correcting grammar and rephrasing text in a better way, finding and explaining perplexing questions, or helping me with planning my vacation. I believe that AI tools have not only made my life more efficient, but they have also improved the quality of my work. It does not only help you with daily tasks, but it can also help you learn new things. The AI platform helped me by finding errors, giving me detailed solutions, and giving me a detailed explanation of the subject I did not understand. I feel like it made my learning experience way better.
However, besides all the positive sides of using AI tools, I feel like these tools also have a downside. There is a risk that people will become overdependent on these AI tools (Ahmad et al., 2023). The use of these AI tools can lead to laziness because it’s tempting to save time and energy by letting AI do all of the work. Another downside is that AI can smother people’s creativity(Ahmad et al., 2023). Instead of coming up with their own ideas and thinking critically, people will find it easier to find ideas by asking AI tools.
I believe that AI tools have many advantages, but they can be seen as a double-edged sword if you look at both the advantages and disadvantages.
Do you think that AI tools foster growth, or do they potentially hamper personal development?”
I invite you to share your thoughts in the comments!

To a large extent, I strongly believe that AI tools can not only streamline our tasks, but also promote personal development. Many of the requests we make to AI tools are simple tasks that consume our valuable time. By efficiently using AI tools to free up more of our time, we can engage in activities that require creativity or focus on our personal growth. However, it’s worth noting that an overreliance on such tools could potentially lead to a scenario where employers consider replacing the current workforce with AI.
In this context, AI offers people the opportunity to develop under one condition: AI should primarily handle repetitive tasks that don’t require human creativity.
