Recently, ChatGPT has become a hot trending tool with its diverse and powerful applications. Since its publishment, ChatGPT has provoked intense discussions about the validity and reliability of the information it provides. It is undeniable that the introduction of chatGPT has allowed users to save a significant amount of time and effort while looking for information or coming up with ideas. I find it challenging when it comes to brainstorming tasks because I do not have an open mindset, and sometimes I am not provided clear instructions or suggestions for how to do the tasks. I ask Chatgpt for help in such cases, and it is really effective and convenient. Although its responses are not entirely accurate, it somehow aids in my development of creativity; in other words, it serves as a starting point in which I can build my perspectives and follow good directions.
Actually, ChatGPT wasn’t as helpful as I had hoped when I attempted to utilize it to create captions for my Instagram photos. It did not take much time to generate a response to my inquiry and it was fairly on-trend while using hashtags and icons, I needed more than that. I expected a caption that could adequately convey my writing style, my personality, and a caption that reflects who I am. I believe that I must provide clear inquiries including my introduction, a sample of my typical writing, and a photo description as detailed as possible. The accuracy will increase and the results will be more in line with expectations in case more inputs are offered. However, it’s not easy to understand yourself and decide what information you need to provide to ChatGPT, is it?
Besides, I find that its capabilities are not infinite. I had an assignment about integer programming that required an exact answer to the problem, but ChatGPT gave me steps that were not according to what I learned and did not answer the optimal solutions even though I clearly indicated them in my inquiry. Explaining that, ChatGPT gave the reason as: “Unfortunately, I don’t have access to a specific optimization solver or the ability to perform computations to provide you with the exact optimal solution and optimal value”.
ChatGPT – not powerful as I expected

Hi Dora! Thank you for your blog post, I find your reflection on using ChatGPT so relatable. I almost always have the same doubts and questions when I use the tool.
It’s so true that ChatGPT is good at assisting with brainstorming and sparking creativity, but it’s bad at capturing the personal essence and uniqueness while swiftly generating content – like for your Instagram post. For me, the experience is similar in the sense that if I were to specify my input in the first place, which means I know exactly what I’m looking for, I might be able to write something already instead of asking ChatGPT to come up with something for me. But maybe this is a process of how AI can complement human creativity, and the limitation of using AI shows a direction of becoming more personalized for the future of machine learning.
