When I first started using generative AI tools, I didn’t expect them to be so powerful. I thought they were just for generating text or helping with simple tasks. ChatGPT had just launched, and I could already write some simple Python or Java code.
Generative AI is constantly evolving, now able to directly read PDFs and Word documents. Sometimes I’ll just upload an article and have the AI summarize it and generate a file for me to store. However, I’ve also noticed some limitations. Sometimes the generated content feels too “perfect” or stereotyped, lacking the human touch or cultural nuances that come with real world experiences. For example, when I tried to create captions for an event, the tone didn’t always match the current trends or humor of the event. This made me realize that even with advanced AI, human creativity and cultural understanding are still irreplaceable.
Also, when it comes to programming, the code generated by generative AI can sometimes be flawed, requiring constant guidance to achieve the correct results. I believe AI can greatly improve efficiency, so it’s important to have the basic knowledge to guide it.
AI is also very handy when it comes to artistic creation. For some projects, I need to make an app, and choosing a name and creating a logo is always a struggle. But once I share my ideas with the AI, it can directly provide a few name options and generate a complete logo image for me to use right away. This greatly improves my efficiency.
I hope that future versions of these tools will better understand cultural context and emotional tone. It would be great if they could learn individual creative patterns and adapt to my writing or working style over time. Overall, my experience with generative AI has been exciting. It feels like collaborating with a tireless, super intelligent assistant. I believe the key lies in learning how to use them wisely to help you.
