An overall opinion on Chat GPT

My experience with Generative Artificial Intelligence tools (GenAI) is perfectly defined by Gartner’s Hype Cycle. I believe that I am right now reaching the slope of enlightenment.

As a matter of facts, I consider myself being one of the earliest adopters of Chat GPT. When it first came out, I was curious to see how far I could push it, so I wrote a whole book, translated it in 7 languages, all of it within its first months of being released. At that time, it seemed insane how it could do such a human task. It was not perfect, full of errors, logicality that needed to be worked on. However, seventy-five percent of the work was done and needed just a human overview.

Like every Chat GPT believer, I thought GenAI would revolutionize the world, Wall-E would replace artists, Chat GPT most assistants and even consultants, coders, writers, etc. A lot of companies decided to hop on the trend, Universities did not know if they should ban its use, so they did ban it. Then human rephrasing AI were developed.

It became, from my point of view, something that would invade our lives fully, takeover of our critical thinking and make us live in a dystopia.

So, I decided to avoid using AI tools as much as I could. Then, I started learning more about GenAI, and the more I learned about it, the funnier those tools became to my eyes. For example, Chat GPT is trained on the internet as a data base. However, the biggest data source on the internet is Reddit, which is known for being the best of all sources (spoiler: It is not.). In addition, more than fifty percent of all interactions on the internet come from bots and AIs. The list is long: human biases, environmental pollution, data leaks, distribution of harmful content, misinformation, etc. Thus, we end up using tools that are not what we expect them to be.

It does not mean that Chat GPT or other GenAIs are entirely negative, and no one should use them. We just need to be more precautious and educate more.

Will Apple Stop Making iPhones?

Since its creation, Apple has always worked to be and stay leader of in the tech industry. We can attribute this success to its founder Steve Jobs and his vision that always met customers’ expectations. Thus, Apple always works in strategical way to make its consumers to adapt and adopt new technologies.

As a matter of fact, they introduced their customers to the iPod which was a revolution for the music and tech industry.

It kept going until iPhone removed the central button of the iPhone 8, then Apple made the whole screen tactile. With the aim to always make customers used to more refined and futuristic technology. In 2023, Apple launched the Apple Vision Pros. A headset based on mixed-reality, not fully virtual but not fully augmented reality either. Apple developed for it a special operation system called visionOS (“Apple Vision Pro”). The operation system includes many features that can (and probably will) be used for Augmented Reality glasses, such as an eye-tracking, speech recognition, and hand gesture recognition system (Peters). On Monday 15th of September 2025, Apple released its latest iOS update: iOS26 Liquid Glass. A lot of people have complained about this update which makes the user interface really complicated to use due to the transparence of nearly every item. Notifications are complicated to read, there are too many animations and distract easily, etc…

However, Apple received negative complaints and was made fun of the one of the most influential CEO in the tech industry when releasing its first iPhone. Change was never always appreciated, but with time every update came into more strategical view. My personal idea is that Apple is trying to adapt us to AR glasses. Us, consumers, must get used to receiving transparent notifications while in the streets walking, or talking to someone. Am I a fan of having technology invade our lives? No, but AR glasses will revolutionize the world, making knowledge, productivity, and entertainment more accessible, for the better and the worst.

Would you buy Apple AR glasses if they get release?
