Over the past months, I have been using ChatGPT to help manage my study and work schedules, and it has become an essential part of how I stay organized. For example, when working on my bachelor thesis, I asked ChatGPT to draft a detailed timeline that included interim deadlines, the tasks I needed to complete, and when each part of the project should be finished. This structure helped me stay on track throughout the entire process and made a large, complex task feel much more manageable.
Beyond my thesis, I regularly use ChatGPT to create weekly to-do lists. I input my planned activities, deadlines, and even personal chores, and the AI organizes them into a clear plan. Having this overview helps me prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a balanced workflow.
What I find particularly useful is ChatGPT’s flexibiltity. I can adjust deadlines, add new tasks, or rearrange priorities, and it quickly updates my schedule accordingly. I have also started using it for practical daily tasks. For instance, when cooking, I can ask ChatGPT how to adapt measurements or suggest replacements for ingredients I don’t have. Similarly, I can ask which cleaning supplies work best for specific tasks or surfaces, helping me clean more efficiently. I find this works much better than searching on search engines like Google, because it provides concise answers rather than overwhelming me with pages of information that I would then have to filter myself.
Additionally, I even used ChatGPT to help generate the cover image for this blog post. By describing the scene and elements I wanted, I was able to quickly create a visual that represents my experience with ChatGPT, saving me the time I would have spent on creating this image myself. When I reflect on all the ways I use generative AI, it becomes clear how much time it has saved me. Tasks that would normally require extenisive planning or manual work are now streamlined, which has helped me boost my productivity and manage my responsibilites much more effectively.
How do you use AI in your daily routines? Have you found it to be helpful, or do you prefer doing these tasks manually?
